Obtain your seed phrase

In this step, you will obtain your wallet’s seed phrase. This is a unique 24-word phrase that represents your wallet’s private key. It is used to control the funds in your wallet. Ensure that this is stored securely and is never shown to other people.
Click “Reveal” to see the phrase used. Ensure you’re in a safe, secure location where no one else may see this.
Copy the seed phrase

It is good practice to copy this seed phrase offline, in a notebook, secure storage or in a secure place you can obtain and not store on your computer or online.
Once you have safely copied this down, click “Next”.
Confirm your seed phrase

In this next step, you must input the seed phrase back into the online wallet to ensure you have written it down correctly. Paste the seed phrase back into the wallet app and click next.
*Please note that the wallet in this example is for testing purposes, and it should not be accessed or restored in any situation.
Set a signing password.

Set a password for your wallet. This password is used to sign transactions on the platform and confirm the actions that are taking place.
You’re done!

Success: you have successfully created your first Cardano wallet using MinWallet. Expand the wallet menu again, and copy your address here.
This will be important as you will need to send funds to this wallet from your centralised exchange, such as Binance, to fund your wallet with ADA to be able to start participating in DeFi on Cardano.
Now that you have your wallet created and you know your receiving address.
Log in to your exchange or another wallet where you hold your ADA and send ADA to the receiving address you obtained during your wallet setup process. Your MinWallet will be funded within a few moments, and you’ll be ready to start trading.
If you prefer not to use MinWallet, we have a full course on using Eternl wallet.
