EP057 – Yamfore, DeFi Loans with No Time Limits or Margin Calls

Episode by Peter Bui on August 21st, 2022
Yamfore is a project looking to do decentralised finance loans differently.
In most borrowing and lending protocols, there are two parties: the borrower and the lender. Yamfore differs in that the borrower borrows from a large treasury that belongs to the protocol, and there are no set periods for loans or requirements for margin calls or liquidation events.
Instead, the platform uses over collateralised positions and exposure to the protocol’s token, which varies in rations you have to pay when taking out loans on the platform.
In this interview with the founder, Brandon Chukwuka, he explains exactly how the protocol works, the appealing setup, and the risks involved for anyone wanting to take out a loan.
