Alright guys, midweek update for you all. I’ve got updates from Strike Finance, Perpetuals on Cardano, also updates from Fluid Tokens and their aquarium implementation. Got that big announcement from Brave and IOG, that partnership there. AI agents on the Cardano blockchain as well, some interesting updates. We also have wallet connectors that are implementing ease of onboarding for users using

00:27
your Google accounts. This is really important to keep an eye on to see what these projects are doing and also various governance updates, all that coming right up. Hey everyone, I’m Peter Buie and if this is your first time here or if you’re a regular and you keep coming back, thank you for coming back and watching, but make sure you hit that thumbs up, like, subscribe, notification bell before we get into it and let’s dive straight in. Now this first new story here is Perpetuals being released on Cardano by Strike Finance.

00:56
They’ve been working on this for a little while and they have finally launched their platform and you can now use it to create perpetual contracts in other long or short positions. So if you’re creating contract for a long, you’re predicting essentially that the price of ADA will go up in the future. If you’re shorting it, that means you’re predicting that will go down and will allow you to create a position with leverage on any of those two particular options.

01:24
Now the really cool thing is that the platform also allows you to do a take profit or stop loss on any of your positions. So this will lock in any potential profits that you have or even take the profits for you. And it’s really cool how they’ve put this all together and they’re slowly rolling it out over time here. Now they’ve released this platform and initially it had very low liquidity. only put in

01:52
250,000 ADA of liquidity, but as the platform’s been growing and more people has been using it, they’ve been increasing liquidity and we can see larger and larger trades going on the platform. Now, if none of this is making sense to you, that’s okay, because I’ve put together a course for you guys. This here details perpetuals, how they work and how to actually do them on Strike Finance. So you can go through this course. I’ll put a link down below for you, but you can get to at learnCardano.io

02:20
just navigate to the courses section and you’ll be able to find this particular course. It’s completely free. You don’t need to log in or anything to gain access to it. You can just go through it yourself, self-paste, and you can follow the tutorials on how to actually create a long or short position, manage your short position, and also use the stop loss and take profit options so that you can protect your profits as you’re going. So it’s a really, really cool and easy platform to use.

02:49
And I’ll be going through this a lot more in the future so that you guys can get a better understanding of how to use this one. But I am absolutely loving the platform and the potential gains that you can get from this. So do check out this course, do check out the platform as well. And congratulations to the Strike Finance team. Now, before I go any further, just want to do a big shout out to all the channel members. Been getting more and more channel members signing up. So really appreciate you guys that have been signing up as a buy a coffee

03:18
or even a medium coffee supporter, you guys really help drive the channel and support the content that I create. So big shout out to all the channel members at the moment. You guys are absolutely brilliant. The other thing I wanted to mention is that I am a Kidano delegate representative. So the Kidano has entered into the era of governance and everyone is delegating to DREPs at the moment to help vote in the ecosystem.

03:45
And this is my brand new delegate representative website. You can get to it at drep.learncadano.io. And here I’ll be detailing all the information about myself, how I vote, my voting approach, all the content that I’ve created around the ecosystem as well, and also instructions on how to actually delegate. So if you did want a D-Rep to delegate to, you can grab my D-Rep IDs here. Now I’ll be integrating this website today into the CodanoPress plugin.

04:15
where you’ll be able to actually click on here, connect your wallet, and then delegate to my D-Rep ID directly. So that’s the power of my plugin, Cardano Press. And if any other D-Rep out there wants an experience like this for their delegates, just reach out to me and we’ll help you get a website set up and also integrated directly into the Cardano blockchain. So that is really cool stuff. It took about maybe two days to build this site.

04:44
The designer Mipo actually created this one for us, the Dimitri from the company there, and we put it together in a couple of days. So it’s really fast to implement this stuff, and it’s all powered by WordPress. So do check that one out. And last but not least, I also do have a state pool as well. So if you wanted to delegate to our state pool, search for the ticker AdaOz, we’ve got a pool ID there. So if you decide to delegate to me, either as your D-Rep or your state pool operator, really appreciate you guys.

05:13
You guys are absolutely awesome. This next news story is from FluidToken and they are launching Aquarium and this is their Babel fee implementation for the Cardano blockchain. And this is really, really useful because it allows you to do a transaction on the blockchain and not use ADA as your fee. So imagine going to the FluidToken platform, interacting with it and not using ADA as the transaction fee, but using

05:42
Fluid tokens. So this gives you an extra utility for the actual token itself. You can use it to pay for transaction fees. And that is really, really useful. And we can go down here. It talks about a little bit, but here we go. A quorum allows creators to set specific conditions, including the use of custom native tokens, CNTs. They might mean Cardano native tokens, to pay for transaction fees.

06:07
Imagine you’re using your favorite debt and finally be able to transact on it using only its native currency. That is a big deal here. You’d be going to Mint Swap, for example, and using their platform to do some swaps and you’re not using your ADA. You’re not using up ADA as your fee, you’re using up your Mint tokens, which you’ve been earning as rewards on the platform for providing liquidity. So it keeps that ecosystem thriving there because you’re actually now using

06:35
your min tokens or your fluid tokens, whatever token might be, whatever ecosystem and allows you to actually drive up the usage of that token. So it’s really cool implementation. I’ve been waiting for Babel fees since it was first announced, I think back in 2021. So it’s a good four years for someone to actually go through and launch this on the Cardano ecosystem. Now this is all done with batches and through the fluid token validated network. So there is a little bit of a

07:04
platform that is all set up for this and you can now actually become a validator on the network as well. So this is all live on mainnet. It’s finally here. You can get to the GitHub repo here and learn how to be a fluid tokens batcher for the ecosystem, become an aquarium validator, sorry. And you can be a part of that ecosystem and some fees and whatnot for it. And it’s a pretty cool platform that they’ve put together.

07:31
Now the guys did give me a preview of the platform too and I did try out Babel fees for myself, this gasless transaction thing. It’s pretty cool. I’ve got a recording of this and I’ll put it up on my other YouTube channel so you can learn how to use and implement and try out Babel fees for yourself. But the other really cool thing that they announced was scheduled transactions. And I tried this as well and the video will be up on my other channel. But schedule transactions allows you to

08:00
pay on a monthly basis salaries, subscriptions, or contracts to other participants within the ecosystem. So you can go in and let’s say you’ve gotten all these catalyst funds from Project Catalyst, the Shark Tank on the Cardano ecosystem. Let’s say they gave you 10,000 ADA. And you have to pay your team 1,000 ADA each over the next three months.

08:25
So what you can do is you can set up the contract here as a subscription or a salary and have all those people paid out and you can set them all up. They can see it all on on the smart contract and they can say, yep, great. I’ve got that money potentially coming in and you can automate that process so you don’t forget. So on the first of every month they’re paid. So that is absolutely amazing. Now, the other really cool thing about this, because this ADA is locked into a smart contract, I thought myself,

08:55
Oh, that means I won’t be able to use that ADA. I won’t have my staking rights or my governing rights for that ADA that’s locked in a smart contract. But they confirm to me that it still gives you all that power. So you still get your ADA rewards. You still have your catalyst voting power and your DREP power while it’s not being executed. So it’s really cool how they’ve implemented this. And I think they’ve done it the right way so that you still have

09:25
and retain those rights while that ADA is still in your wallet. So really good stuff there from the fluid tokens team and check out my other YouTube channel where I’ll be uploading that particular tutorial. This next news updates around the Brave browser and input output teaming up to bring Cardano to the Brave wallet. Now I did a video of this yesterday. If you didn’t see it, I’ll put a link down below. It should appear in the top right hand corner there too. There you go.

09:54
But you can check out why this is a big deal. Brave browser, if you haven’t seen it before, this is the browser landing page, their website here, you can download it. It’s essentially the same as Google Chrome, but with privacy in mind. Now they’ve got cool things such as an ad blocker. Now here on this side, you can see the Google Chrome version of this. At Google, of course, they’re interested in advertising, so they wouldn’t block all this stuff. Trying to avoid that. But the Brave browser,

10:23
eliminates all that. So you’re not loading all the extra bloat. None of those ads are actually tracking where you’re going or what you’re doing. So Brave is absolutely brilliant in that respect. They also have a couple of other things such as a VPN built into it, VPN and firewall, and also AI assistant built into it as well. So you can use all those things to help improve your browsing experience. Last but not least, they also have a nice private search.

10:52
They use a duck duck go. It’s kind of like Google, but it’s it doesn’t track what you do. So it doesn’t give you as best curated results tailored towards what you’ve been searching for, but it’s all completely private. So all that stuff is absolutely brilliant. Now I got into using Brave because of their token BAT, Basic Attention Token. And I got it because I was creating content and users could tip people on their YouTube videos. So if you had the BAT token,

11:21
you could tip a content creator using it. And I really liked that. I loved the utility for it because you’re taking away all these ads. So how else are you going to generate revenue if there’s no ads? And the BIT token allowed you to tip a content creator, a YouTube creator in that process so they can still earn some revenue. So it was a really nice way of getting around it because Brave actually takes and blocks all the YouTube ads as well. So if you’re watching this on Brave, you’re not seeing the ads.

11:51
So at least hit that like button. But of course, I also have this Brave Wallet. This is it here. You can just see it here, but this connects to various dApps around the ecosystem, mainly EVM chained ones, but it never could connect to Cardano ones. So there’s millions of users that are using this browser at the moment and are using it with the Brave Wallet. And you can fall back to like a EVM wallet, like Metamask or something, but it will allow you to do everything that you expect.

12:20
within crypto, within their wallet, but it’s integrated directly into the browser and with privacy in mind. Now with this partnership with IG, they’ll be implementing all those features into the Cardano ecosystem. So we’ll get staking, we’ll get governance, we’ll get smart contracts, swaps, everything that the Cardano ecosystem has to offer, but to all the users in the brave environment here. And that is really, really exciting. Definitely going to bring in a lot more users, more adoption.

12:48
and a more seamless experience. So you’ve got your browser here, you’re browsing around a brand new DAP. You think, oh, this is cool. Let’s try this one out. Connect your Brave Wallet. Bam, you’re in. And that could be any Kudano DAP within the ecosystem. So I’m really excited to see where this partnership goes. When will it launch? That was one of the questions that I was asked in the video. I have no idea. This announcement came out, but there’s absolutely no timeline when we are going to see this, but we better see this this year. I really, really do hope.

13:18
We see this as soon as possible. Now with the IGS efforts in using and creating all these other wallets such as Lace and Daedalus, I’m sure they have plenty of experience and engineers to help the Brave team implement it as quickly as possible. really, really excited to see this one come to light. Now, of course, this also had some dramas behind it as well. And Charles had to put out here.

13:46
Let me just read this for you for the audio listeners. The Brave announcement is the first in a series that will come out throughout the summer and fall. So June, July, August, September that I term the fixing broken windows deal that originated from midnight negotiations. It was long overdue. They originally could have been engaged in 2022. A certain entity dropped the ball. We got ignored. There are several dozen deals like this for ADA and Cardano native assets.

14:14
Midnight has picked up the baton and started finishing them. Okay. So that may be, or probably is a dig directly at the Cardano Foundation or Mergo who may have had this initial conversation with Brave in regards to advertising integrations and all sorts of things. But for whatever reason, it didn’t go through. But I’m glad that it is there now, two years later.

14:42
but we will see Cardano in that Brave Wallet. Now there’s been a lot of innovations in the AI agent space. So these are agents that can do things for you, that process tasks, you can interact with them and these agents can go off and interact with other platforms, pay for services and then return those results to you. So this is a really…

15:07
This seriously is the next stage of the internet. And I really do believe almost every business out there, every entity out there will have multiple AI agents to perform tasks for them. And we’re going to see like every business has a website. We’re going to see every business now also have AI agents. And the infrastructure is being built for all this stuff right now. And they’re using blockchain. Now this here is a post from Marvin. He’s from

15:33
Maestro, the API platform that integrates in a lot of blockchains, including Cardano. But he points out what the Coinbase team have been doing. This is X402 and they’re fixing all these things or creating brand new layers here for AI agents to be able to talk to protocols. It’s very similar to what the Masumi guys are doing with the Nmaker team and they are

15:59
building that payment rails for AI agents. So AI agents can talk to another AI agent, make that payment for a particular service and then return those results. So this is a big step forward within the AI space and it’s something that is definitely needed. Now, if you want to find out more about this, I’ll put links down below in regards to what the Coinbase team are building, but it is very similar to what the Misumi team have built with their platform as well. links down below to check out both of those.

16:28
Now this other platform, Cerabus, I’ve been talking about Cerabus for the last few months, absolutely love what the guides are building with their risk rating indexes, absolutely love that kind of stuff because it makes getting into DeFi, trading Cardano assets so much easier. There’s less research that you need to do because of their risk rating platform, their system does a lot of the hard work for you. So you can use this as a guide so you can work out what you might want to speculate your ADA assets into.

16:56
So this is now the next evolution of this platform. So they’ve got RiskFi, which is their core product offering. got DeFi, the decentralized finance, but they also have DeFi now. So decentralized finance AI. So they bring in all these AI features onto the platform to make the analysis of everything better, faster. So this is really nice stuff. So they provide all the risk

17:25
analysis, they have all the data from the decentralized finance platform, such as Minswap, Wingriders, know, all the DEXs out there and using decentralized agents now to actually make this all work and happen. So this is still at the beginnings of this. So you can see here they state Xerebus is perfectly aligned for this transition. So they’re slowly moving into this now, but this is a very exciting place to be in at the moment.

17:54
to watch the rise of AI agents into the world of decentralized finance. I’ll try and keep you guys up to date with all the happenings around that space too. Now this next new story here is about onboarding web to users. So a lot of people are comfortable now these days of using Connect with Google or Connect with Apple. Those type of services that allow you to use your Google account, your Apple account, your Office Outlook account.

18:23
and connect to various different websites. Does the single sign on and will connect you directly to a brand new platform, create accounts, all that stuff. So it’s a really nice way of onboarding a new user onto a brand new platform. Now this is really important for Web3. The Web3 onboarding experience is come to a website. Great, I want to use this. Oh, you don’t have a wallet. Okay, so now go to this other website, create a brand new wallet, write down this 20 word

18:52
24 word seed phrase, put that somewhere safe, secure that, use our platform and oh no, I’ve lost my 24 word seed phrase and I’ve deleted my wallet so I can’t get into the platform anymore and I’ve lost my assets. That’s the worst case scenario of a web three user being onboarded into blockchain. And these projects here at ZK Fold and Jara Wallet are teaming up to make that experience easier with a web two way of logging into a platform

19:21
and making it just a little bit nicer. So Jara are doing that with ZK Fold. But you know, there’s a couple of other platforms that have already done this, you know, to see it being integrated into the wallets is really important. And I’m guessing with ZK Fold as well, means that there’ll be zero knowledge proofs added into that as well. So I don’t know how the mechanics of that will work, but overall, I’m pretty excited. Now this other project here, this is a Mesh, Mesh SDK. They’ve built this.

19:49
And you know, if any of the other developers out there, any dApps, they can pull down this code for a SIP 30 compliance. that’s the standard Cardano wallet compliant. And you can integrate this directly into your dApp. And we’ll be integrating this into Cardano press to make things easier for any Web 3 user or Web 2 user to onboard themselves into Web 3.

20:15
So if you have a Google account, you can log in via your Google account or create a wallet. It will secure it via sharding into three different pieces and storing it all over the place. So that way you can always get into your wallet, recover if you’ve ever lost it, as long as you have access to your Google account or your Discord account or your Twitter account or X account. So that way the onboarding process is easier. All you need to do is log on with your X account, Discord or Google, and you’re good to go.

20:44
Now there is a lot of documentation on how this works and how they create and secure the private key. So if you want to learn about how the platform works, all the documentation is there. Now a project that has implemented this already is a NuFi and they did this about a year ago and they did this as a part of a catalyst proposal and you can check it out here. Let me just scroll down a little bit, but the ViFi team on ViFi.net have this implemented. Let me just play this video here while I talk about it.

21:13
And you can see here, they’re going through the process. They can log in, connect with their Google account. You can see the Google browser logon come up. You can authenticate there and that creates the private key in the background and your brand new NewFi wallet there, NewFi Connect wallet. And then you can start using it. You can start receiving assets to it and then using it directly in Vi Finance. So it’s really, really easy in regards to onboarding yourself.

21:43
with a Google account and you don’t need to worry about all that seed phrase stuff. So I know we’re going to see a lot more of this in the future because onboarding users with seed phrase is just messy and this just makes it a lot easier. I wouldn’t say I’d be able to onboard my grandma using this particular process, but it is a hell of a lot easier than setting up a wallet with the seed phrase.

22:07
So check out all those implementation guys. It’s pretty cool what we have here. We’ve got ZK folder and Jero implementing some new one. Like I said, imagining it with zero knowledge proofs. We have the mesh JS, the mesh SDK team putting out their solution as well. And of course this previous solution put out by new five too. So lots of things there to look into and onboarding of users I think is a very important thing for the Cardano space.

22:36
Now this last area that I’ll look into is the Cardano governance side of things. And this particular proposal came out last week and this is a Maru’s budget proposal for node diversity. So this is a Cardano node built in Rust. Now Rust is a programming language that is very good for networking. And there’s a lot of developers in the space that are writing code and doing code in Rust.

23:04
And to have a different implementation of the Cardano node, which is built in Haskell written in Rust, can bring in a lot more engineers into the ecosystem. And it’s really important that we do because there’s not that many Haskell developers out there. Haskell is very secure, a very good programming language, but is very niche. And there’s not many developers out there that know Haskell really, really well.

23:32
On the other hand, there are many, many Rust developers out there that do know Rust and can implement a Cardano node in that particular language. So this particular proposal here is a treasury withdrawal for six months of development, six full-time employees with a 25 % contingency, which is returned to the treasury if unused, to finish off the last bit of this particular Cardano node. So 700…

24:00
50,000 USD or 1.5 million ADA at that price at 0.5 to actually get this last part of the Amaru node, Cardano node implemented. So this is something that I’m really, really passionate about getting the node diversity out there because it means that we will have more developers and more ways of implementing things. So I’ve already voted for this one here.

24:26
This is AIDAS stat governance. And if you scroll down, down, down, down, down, down, down, voted last week when it came out. You can see my vote there at PwE and also my stake pool as well. So I voted yes for both of those. Currently this one is at, here we go, 1.45 yes. So it’s at that 25 % mark. Still got a long way to go. No confidence, no votes. Oh, a lot, a lot of no votes there. Might not get through.

24:56
might need a lot more voting here to actually get this one through. So I would encourage people to actually go out there and potentially try and push this one through if you haven’t done so already. Now, I’ve spoken to the team, I’ve spoken to Chris from Blink Labs, and he’s writing a Go, Golang implementation of the Kedano node as well. And from what I’ve seen, what the guys have been talking about,

25:25
the implementation of the Go node, it’s called Dingo, is faster than the Rust one. I think Lucas from the guy that created Aiken, the original developer there, is very passionate about Rust. So Aiken is very much like Rust in how it’s implemented, but he had to admit that the Dingo, the Go version of it, was twice as fast.

25:53
as the Rust implementation. So that’s a thing. It’s good thing. means that we’re going to see a lot of better and faster implementations of the Cardano node in multiple different languages. So just keep that in mind, guys, when you’re voting for this one here. We will see a lot more diversity in our nodes over the next few years, and also more and more developers coming in because of that. Now, if you guys want to keep up on all the various governance actions that are being pushed online,

26:22
You can follow this account here. This is Cardano GovActions or GovActions is the handle. And you can find out all these governance actions as they are released and they all link back to ADA Stat. If you look on the ADA Stat website under governance actions, you can see six governance actions online at the moment. So we need a lot of people jumping in and voting for these particular governance actions. Now, the probably the most important one here is the blockchain ecosystem budget. And this is the

26:52
the big budget by Intersect to allow all these particular projects to actually get funding for what they’re doing. So it’s interesting here, a lot of people are actually voting no. So let me check the stats here. We’ve got no votes at 264 million and yes votes at 72 million. Okay, nos are out, outpowering the yeses at the moment. This is gonna be interesting guys.

27:19
See if this one gets through or not, or if we have to go through this whole voting process again and submit a brand new budget. Hmm. Very interesting. This is the budget that also has IOG’s budget request for continuing development on Cardano. It has a lot of projects in there that have requested treasury funds to keep building as well. So it’s going to be interesting.

27:48
to say the least to see where this one goes over the next couple of weeks. So do watch the various channels and follow Intersect for latest updates and follow along on the YouTube channel here to find out what’s going on with this particular governance action to see if it actually passes or not. We’ve got until mid-June to actually vote for this one. So we’ve got a good month before this one expires. And that’s it. That’s all I’ve got for you guys for this particular update. And thank you so much for watching to the end.

28:18
But before you leave, I’ve just got one last thing I need to tell you guys, and I’m starting a brand new DeFi on Cardano series. This will be a weekly video release that I’ll do on Thursdays where I’ll go through all of the Cardano ecosystem DeFi opportunities and actually participate in them. So I’ll show you guys exactly what I’m doing, what I’m playing around with, what I’m investigating to try and get more gains.

28:43
And this is technically sponsored by the Cardano Foundation because I’m using funds that they’re putting out there for the Cardano ambassadors from their impact pot. I’ll talk about that during the video, but this will allow creators such as myself to create new series like this, which take a lot of time and effort and ADA to actually go through and show you guys how you can actually use that ADA to gain more yield and more rewards and all that kind of stuff. So

29:11
I’ll be doing this on a weekly basis on Thursdays, releasing it on that Thursday for members only and then flipping it to public the week after. So if you are a member, you’ll get a week access to that before anyone else does. So really appreciate you guys that are members of the channel here. You really help support the channel and keep it going. And I can create some really interesting and hopefully useful content for you guys out there. Anyway, like I said, hit that thumbs up, like, subscribe, notification bell on your way out. I’ll see you guys in next video.
